At around 5 pm yesterday, the towns of Carrascal and Cantilan, Surigao del Sur felt a magnitude 4.8 earthquake. Epicenter is said to be 5 kilometers southeast of Carrascal town with a depth of 8 kilometers. It was tectonic in origin.
Phivolcs says it was an aftershock of the earthquake that occurred last July 13 in the province. No damages were reported.
