A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook the town of Jose Abad Santos in Davao Occidental also this morning at 12:10 am. Apparently this tremor occurred about an hour earlier to the one reported in Northern Samar.
The shaking was felt in the towns of Alabel and Kiamba in Sarangani province and General Santos City in South Cotabato as well as in Tupi, South Cotabato.
The epicenter was deemed to be 143 kilometers northeast of the town of Jose Abad Santos.
