West Valley Fault

A new tremor was felt early this morning at around 3:09 am in the Davao Occidental area. It has a magnitude of 4.9 with a depth of 131 kilometers.

It was tectonic in origin according to Philvolcs data and struck 256 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. No damages were reported and no aftershocks are expected. Sarangani was just rocked by a magnitude 5.4 tremor two days earlier.
