Three earthquakes of tectonic origin were reported in Davao Del Sur just this morning of Jan. 16. As per the Office of Civil Defense in Southern Mindanao and the disaster risk reduction and management council there were no damages or reported injured.
At 5:36 a.m., a magnitude 3.6 earthquake was felt near Sulop town in Davao del Sur. It’s epicenter was determined to be 18 kilometers from the town and had a depth of 23 kilometers.
Before this at 5:14 a.m., a magnitude 2.1 quake was reported with the epicenter located to be 15 kilometers of Kiblawan town in the same province. It has a depth of 30 kilometers.
And even earlier than this at 4:33 a.m., a magnitude 2.3 earthquake has been recorded with its epicenter only 6 kilometers from the city of Digos also within the same province. It has a depth of 15 kilometers.
At 6:43 a.m. another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 was felt. Its epicenter was 100 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos town, this time in the province of Davao Occidental. It has a depth of 40 kilometers.
