A magnitude 4.9 earthquake was recorded off the coast of Davao Occidental. The tremor struck 278 kilometers southeast of Sarangani in Davao Occidental.

The quake occurred at 9:36 p.m. last night Monday, with a depth of 83 kilometers and it was tectonic in origin according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

No damages were reported and no aftershocks are expected.
