A magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred in the province of Iloilo Saturday evening hours after a magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck in Occidental Mindoro on the same day.

The quake struck at 8:57 p.m. 15 kilometers from the town of San Joaquin in Iloilo. It has a depth of 5 kilometers and is tectonic in origin according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or Phivolcs.

According to Phivolcs data it’s the fourth earthquake to be reported from the area since Friday.

No damages were reported and no aftershocks were expected.
