A magnitude 6.4 earthquake jolts folks in the province of Sorsogon last night at around 10:37 p.m. The quake which hit 38 kilometers northeast of the town of Prieto Diaz in Sorsogon with a depth of 77 kilometers.
Philvolcs later downgraded the magnitude to 5.4. The quake was felt in Aurora, Quezon, the Bicol region and the Eastern Visayas.
It was tectonic in origin.
The agency also warned of possible aftershocks.
