At 6 am today a magnitude 5.1 earthquake was reported in Camarines Norte. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) pinpointed the location of the quake at 24 kilometers northeast of Tinaga Island.

People turned to Twitter to post their experiences.

Intensity 4 was felt in Capalonga, Camarines Norte, Intensity 2 in Goa and Naga City, Camarines Sur; Calauag, Quezon Province; and Intensity 1 was recorded in Cainta, Rizal.

The following instrumental intensities have been recorded:

Instrumental Intensity 4 – Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte;
Intensity 3 – Guinayangan, Quezon;
Intensity 2 – Gumaca, Mauban and Lopez, Quezon;
Intensity 1 – Marikina City and Pasig City, Metro Manila; San Rafael, Bulacan
