Davao Occidental was hit with a magnitude 5.1 earthquake this Saturday afternoon. The quake was felt at 3:42 p.m. and had its epicenter at 191 kilometers southeast of Balut Island.

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) determined its depth at 93 kilometers and is tectonic in origin.

No damages were expected but aftershocks were likely.
