A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Tarlac City evening of last night. The tremor, which according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) is tectonic in nature, was felt by residents at 10:30 in the evening.
The location of the tremor has been located some 7 kilometers southeast of the city. It had a depth of 184 kilometers.
The earthquake registered at Intensity I in Laoag city, Ilocos Norte.
The following instrumental intensities were reported:
Intensity III – Infanta, Pangasinan
Intensity I – Bani, Pangasinan and Iba, Zambales
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued the following report following the incident.
