Another earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 rattled the province of Davao Occidental early this Friday morning at 3:20 a.m.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) determined the epicenter at 280 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island in the municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.

It had a depth of 149 kilometers and was said to be tectonic in origin.

The tremor registered at Intensity I in Malungon, Sarangani.

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Southern Mindanao and Davao Occidental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council stated that they did not receive any report of damage or injuries from the earthquake.

Phivolcs announced the possibility of aftershocks.
