A magnitude 6.2 earthquake just hit off the coast of Cagayan this Wednesday morning just before noon.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor struck at 11:35 a.m.
It was tectonic in origin and its epicenter was 22 kilometers northeast of Dalupiri Island in Calayan town.
It registered at Intensity IV in Pasuquin in Ilocos Norte.
There were no damages reported but Phivolcs warned of possible aftershocks.
