A magnitude 5.2 shook a town in Abra Saturday morning.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the quake that hit at 2:27 early morning was recorded at 012 kilometers southwest of the town of Pilar in Abra.

That quake that has a depth of 004 kilometers was an aftershock of the magnitude 7 earthquake that occurred last July 27 in Tayum, Abra.

It was felt as Intensity V in Pilar, Bangued, and Bucay in Abra, while Intensity IV was recorded in Banayoyo, Ilocos Sur; and San Fernando, La Union.

Aftershocks are to be expected.
