Early in the morning of Wednesday today at 1:16 a.m. Leyte was rocked by a magnitude 4.4 earthquake. The quake has been determined to be 7 kilometers west of the town of Capoocan and has a depth of 5 kilometers.

The tremor registered as Intensity IV in Capoocan, Leyte and Intensity III in Cabucgayan, Biliran respectively.

According to Phivolcs there will be no aftershocks and no damages reported.
