The installation is part of the agency’s ongoing push to strengthen community participation and local development initiatives through its Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) program. The project was selected directly by villagers through a participatory planning process, ensuring that it responds to real and urgent community needs.

According to DSWD-13, the system will serve 578 households, including 120 families listed under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). With the new setup, residents will have quicker access to official announcements, service updates, and advisories issued by barangay, municipal, and provincial authorities.
A 4Ps beneficiary from the area expressed appreciation for the project, noting how vital timely information is—especially during emergencies. She shared that updates related to typhoons, earthquakes, and other urgent situations will now reach families more efficiently.
DSWD-13 added that the initiative is expected to strengthen disaster preparedness, promote community involvement, and improve local governance by ensuring that accurate information reaches residents when they need it most.
