West Valley Fault

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake was reported last night at 9:38 pm in Ilocos Norte. It has a depth of 16 kilometers and is tectonic in origin.

The quake was located 54 kilometers northwest of Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

According to Phivolcs damage is unlikely but warned that there may be aftershocks.
