A new earthquake was reported early this afternoon at 3:01 pm in Davao Occidental. It has a magnitude of 5.4.

According to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) the epicenter was located to be 136 kilometers east of Sarangani. It was tectonic in origin with a depth of 24 kilometers.

The tremor was felt all the way to Alabel, Sarangani, and General Santos City. It was not expected to cause any damage but an aftershock was expected.
