Another earthquake struck the province of Masbate just today at noon. The magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck at 12:05 p.m. near the town of Cataingan in the said province.

It as a depth of 24 kilometers and was located 19 kilometers northwest of Cataingan town.

It was tectonic in origin and as per Phivolcs is an aftershock of the quake that occurred last Aug. 18.
