Another quake hit the province of Davao Occidental early morning this Tuesday.

The tremor which struck southeast off Balut Island, in the Municipality of Saranggani had a magnitude of 5.2 according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

The quake hit at around 2:17 a.m. and had a depth of 76 kilometers. It was tectonic in origin.

Phivolcs stated that this was an aftershock of the earthquake that took place in the same area last January 18th.

No damage nor aftershocks are expected.
