A magnitude 5.2 tremor was reported off the shores near Davao Occidental yesterday at 5:11 p.m.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) determined the epicenter some 368 kilometers off the coast of Balut Island in Sarangani town.

According to the same agency the tremor was said to be tectonic in origin and had a depth of 5 kilometers.

Although there was no damage reported, Phivolcs advised of possible aftershocks.
