Tuesday morning started out with a magnitude 4.8 tremor for residents of Camarines Norte.
Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) determined the time of the quake at 5:57 a.m. and its epicenter some 12 kilometers southeast of Tinaga Island.
It had a depth of 1 kilometer and is tectonic in origin.
The following areas registered the following intensities:
Intensity IV in Guinayangan and Tagkawayan, Quezon
Intensity III in Buenavista and Lopez, Quezon; and Naga City, Camarines Sur.

It was also felt at the same intensity in Catanauan and San Narciso, Quezon.
Phivolcs issued warnings of possible aftershocks.
