🚨EARTHQUAKE SAFETY TIP #002

🛏 Sleeping

Quick Safety Tip

😴 If you’re already in bed when strong shaking begins, stay there.

✅ Protect your head and neck with a pillow.

✅ Stay away from windows, mirrors, or heavy objects that could fall onto the bed.

✅ Do not run outside while the ground is shaking.

✅ Once the shaking stops, put on shoes before walking to avoid injuries from broken glass or debris.

✅ Check yourself and your family for injuries before evacuating if necessary.

❌ Do NOT rush down stairways during the earthquake.

❌ Do NOT use elevators immediately after the shaking.

Remember:

DROP. COVER. HOLD ON. If you’re already safely in bed, your bed may be the safest place to remain until the shaking stops.

Preparedness Tip: Keep a flashlight, sturdy shoes, whistle, and emergency contact list beside your bed so they’re within easy reach if an earthquake occurs at night.
