This morning of Wednesday at 10:53 a.m. a magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck the province of Davao Oriental.

The quake was tectonic in origin according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). It struck 136 kilometers southeast of Manay, Davao Oriental with a depth of 51 kilometers.

No damages were reported and no aftershocks were expected.

Last April 27, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Davao Occidental.
