Late night yesterday at 9:49 pm, a magnitude 5.0 earthquake was reported just 11 kilometers off the southeastern coast of Jose Abad Santos in Davao Occidental.
There were no bulletin issued but Philvolcs estimated the earthquake to be 33 kilometers in depth and is tectonic in origin.
The following intensities were reported:
Intensity IV – Glan, Alabel and Malapatan,Sarangani
Intensity III – Kiamba and Malungon, Sarangani; General Santos City; Tupi, South Cotabato
Intensity II – Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur; Davao City; Koronadal City
No damages reported and no aftershocks are expected.
