Just a day after Tropical Storm Ursula hit the Visayan area, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck near Capiz.

The tremor was felt at around 8:19 just this evening, Thursday Dec. 26 with the epicenter located 8 kilometers southwest of Dumarao, Capiz. It was tectonic in origin with a depth of 1 kilometer. No damages were reported and no aftershocks are expected.
