West Valley Fault

Just this morning around 9:05 am, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake was felt near the island of Mindoro.

As per Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) the quake was tectonic in origin and was strongest in the town of Rizal in Occidental Mindoro.

Tremor was also felt n the following area:

Lipa City, Batangas;
Malay, Aklan
San Nicolas, Batangas
City of Manila
San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro
Tagaytay City
Malinao, Aklan
Sebaste and Culasi, Antique
Calatagan, Batangas|
Talisay, Batangas
Dolores and Mauban, Quezon

So far no damage were reported.
