Early this morning Friday, a magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported in the province of Davao Oriental.

The tremor was recorded at 2:55 a.m. and the epicenter was found to be located 59 kilometers (kms) southeast of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental province. It has a depth of 134 kilometers according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

It was tectonic in origin. No aftershocks were expected and no damages reported.
