
Days after the earthquake in Mindanao, a magnitude 5 quake rattled San Jose, Occidental Mindoro this morning. The tremor which occurred at 58 kilometers southwest of the town has a depth of 17 kilometers.
The quake hit at 7:24 this morning and was tectonic in origin according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
No damages have been reported but Phivolcs officials say aftershocks are likely.
Meanwhile at 10:51 a.m. another earthquake struck Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan. The quake measured 4.1 in the Richter scale and occured 7 kilometers northwest of Dalupiri Island.
No damage were reported and no aftershocks were expected from this one.
