Makati may not be the first city people associate with the West Valley Fault. It is not Marikina, where the fault system takes its name, nor is the present-day city directly traversed by the section of the fault shown through areas now administered by Taguig.
But that does not mean Makati would escape the consequences of “The Big One.”
