A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rattled the people of Oriental Mindoro early this morning at 1:17 am.

The quake struck 14 kilometers northwest of Puerto Galera with a depth of 183 kilometers. The report came from Philvolcs which also stated that it was tectonic in origin. There were no damages reported and no aftershocks are expected.

Tremor was felt all the way in Quezon City and Cavite City which recorded an Intensity I in the seismic scale.
