This just in. About two hours ago at 7:18 pm a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck 34 kilometers northwest of Patnongon town in Antique.

This was reported by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) which announced that the quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of one kilometer.

The shaking was felt all the way to Culasi, Antique, Sebaste, Valderrama, San Jose City in Antique, and Malinao in Aklan.

At the same time another earthquake was reported in Surigao del Sur and was said to be the aftershock of the quake that occurred last July 13 in Surigao del Norte.
