A magnitude 4.2 earthquake jolts Sultan Kudarat Thursday night at 7:06 p.m. Epicenter was found to be 6 kilometers southeast of Columbio town.

According to Phivolcs the quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 9 kilometers. Kidapawan City recorded the earthquakes intensity at Intensity II.

There have been reports that a series of weaker tremors have been felt prior which ranged from magnitude 2 to 2.2 on the same day.

No damage has been reported and no aftershocks were expected.
