West Valley Fault

A magnitude 5.0 quake has just been reported in Davao Occidental today. The tremor’s epicenter was located at 151 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos and struck at 1:14 p.m.

The intensity was later downgraded to magnitude 4.8

Phivolcs determined the depth at 65 kilometers and was tectonic in origin. The agency ruled out the possibility of damages but there may be some aftershocks.
