A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has been reported this morning on a Saturday in the province of Aurora. It struck 15 kilometers southwest of San Luis, Aurora at 10:10 a.m.

It has a depth of 7 kilometers and is tectonic in origin according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

The following instrumental intensities have been recorded:

Intensity VI – Baler, Aurora; Intensity IV – Palayan City; Dingalan, Aurora; Intensity II – Quezon City; Intensity IV – Palayan City

The quake was also felt in other parts of Region III (Central Luzon), the National Capital Region (NCR), the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region I (Ilocos Region) and Region IV-A (Calabarzon).

No damages yet reported but aftershocks are expected.
