A magnitude 5.2 earthquake was reported today 19 kilometers of the town of Calatagan in Batangas.

The quake struck at 2:14 in the early morning hours Friday and has been determined to be tectonic in origin. It has a depth of 131 kilometers.

According to Phivolcs, no damage or aftershocks were expected.
