At 9:25 this evening of Feb. 13, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake was reported in Southern Leyte. It struck 11 kilometers southwest of Silago with a depth of 2 kilometers.

It registered as Intensity I in Palo, Leyte. Phivolcs determined the cause to be tectonic.

No aftershocks are expected and no damages were reported.
