Did you know that the deadliest earthquake that ever happened in the Philippines occurred on August 16, 1976?

The magnitude was 7.9 and it struck near Lebak, Mindanao. It was dubbed the Moro Gulf Earthquake. Around 5,000 – 8,000 people were killed.
